Finishing work completes the repair and sends a presentable look. Goals can be divided into two large groups:
- aesthetic – to improve the appearance of the room;
- protective – there are special materials that protect surfaces from environmental influences, corrosion and decay.
External finishing works
When finishing is done outside the premises, special attention is paid to protecting surfaces from natural factors. At this stage, panels are installed, walls are plastered, the house is tiled and finishing material is applied.
Types of interior finishing works
Interior works are aimed at thermal protection, soundproofing and complete preparation of rooms for subsequent use in residential or commercial purposes. When carrying out this type of work, you should take care of safety: use only environmentally friendly and harmless materials that have the necessary certificates.
Draft construction and finishing works
Before the start of the repair, a rough finish is carried out – that is, what ensures high-quality preparation of premises and communications. It allows you to make changes to the layout and simplify the further preparation of the room for decoration.
Rough finishing includes the following types of work:
- Plaster – Needed in order to eliminate irregularities and defects exceeding 5 mm. Before work, the walls are pre-prepared and only then leveled.
- Masonry – Assembly and installation of partitions, fireplaces from different types of materials.
- Plasterboard – Niches, slopes, suspended ceilings from GKL are installed.
- Painting – Priming and polishing of planes are carried out.
- The final step is the application of putty.
- Plumbing – Arrangement of sewer and water systems, pipes, preparation of space for baths, toilets, showers, their assembly.
- Wiring – Walls are being shredded (that is, channels for communications are created inside them), cables, a network are laid, places are prepared for sockets and switches.
Fine construction and finishing works
Finishing finishing works are the last processing of surfaces and their decorative design. They are executed from top to bottom, namely:
- installation of different types of ceilings (suspended or stretch);
- wall decoration with paint, wallpaper;
- laying tiles;
- floor covering flooring;
- door installation;
- installation of plumbing, lighting fixtures, sockets, switches, air conditioners.
